On December 7th, Christian Koch of KAM South in Atlanta, GA hosted a CEO Roundtable Event at the KAM South headquarters, 400 Interstate Parkway SE Atlanta, GA 30339.

Koch, author of the successful book Soul of Success, presented information about KAM South to the CEO group and used a SWOT analysis (Strengths/Weaknesses/Opportunities/Threats) for the main talking points in his presentation.

The M3 CEO Roundtable group is sponsored by the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, and is invitation-only on an annual basis. The group of 18 CEOs of successful Atlanta businesses meets monthly to discuss successes and dynamics within their respective industries.

 

 

Koch’s presentation began with a discussion about the movie Moneyball, starring Brad Pitt, and related the story of the film to working with a fee-only investment advisor. The story of Moneyball is a good one as it relates very well to how one can be successful as an independent private wealth manager. The movie is a true story based on Billy Beane, the Oakland A’s general manager, using stats, sabermetrics, economic forecasting and non-traditional approaches to fielding a winning team and being competitive in Major League Baseball. The movie was based on a book by Michael Lewis, Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game (2003).
